The game of baseball is coming out of a tainted era known as the Steroid Era. This era was filled with players trying to find advantages by using performance enhancing drugs. PEDs enhance a players strength and recovery time, giving these players a greater chance to succeed in such a difficult game. A few advantages of taking performance enhancing drugs are: increased leanness, increased muscle definition, increased strength, better recovery time, and feelings of euphoria (confidence and positivity). A few disadvantages are: expenses, acne, increased risk for heart problems. (Answerbag.com) This website will fully examine the advantages and disadvantages of using PEDs, where PED use is most prominent, and also what some side effects are of abusing these drugs. I am against PED use, but I feel it is beneficial to state both the pros and cons of PED use. I will explain and show evidence of why PED use is not good for athletes' bodies and for sports culture.
Steroids can come in pill form or in liquid form, which is injected with a syringe. Pill form is the most common use because it is cheaper and requires no tools for injection. Courtesy RKgit.edu
